He fastidiously prepares and labels his griffon and truffle consommé, grated pixie, pickled mandrake, and Yggdrasil root. His space is warmly lit, clean, and organized.

The heavy oaken chopping board shows age, from octopus to kraken, it has served him faithfully from his early days as a line cook. His knives are clean, new, and magically imbued, rune markings sitting like precious jewels on it’s handle.

At this current moment however, he is distracted by a knock on the door, a fresh delivery. The wriggling and writhing mass squirming on the chopping board realizes this is the only chance it’ll get to escape and begins to worm its way off the board, sending sulfuric liquids flying, blotting the immaculate surfaces.
